A useful roll plan connects the vehicle drawing, usable flooring width, sheet direction, seam locations, cut lengths and project quantity. Prepare these details before requesting a quotation so suitable roll lengths and packing can be reviewed.
Start with a dimensioned passenger-floor drawing. Mark each required cut, sheet direction and permitted seam, then total the planned cut area and add only the allowance approved for the project. Available roll length is 15–24 m; final width, length and quantity must be confirmed for the selected model.
Do not estimate roll quantity from vehicle length alone. Wheel arches, steps, platforms, seat rails and required sheet direction can change how each cut fits on a roll.
| Planning input | Why it matters | What to send |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensioned floor drawing | Defines the actual passenger-floor areas and irregular shapes. | Drawing with units, scale and revision number. |
| Usable sheet width | Determines whether each area fits in one sheet or needs an approved seam. | Required width and any trimming restrictions. |
| Sheet and pattern direction | Printed or wood designs may need a consistent visual direction. | Direction arrows for aisle and passenger areas. |
| Seam locations | Seams affect cutting, welding-rod requirements and installation planning. | Permitted seams, joint detail and welding-rod profile. |
| Cut lengths and quantities | Repeated vehicle layouts can be grouped into a production plan. | Cut list per vehicle and number of vehicles. |
| Packing and delivery | Roll allocation and labels should match installation and shipment needs. | Destination, delivery schedule and roll-label requirements. |
Send the information already available. The final roll plan can be reviewed after the model, construction and vehicle drawing are confirmed.

Bus length alone is not enough. Use a dimensioned passenger-floor drawing that includes steps, platforms, wheel arches, sheet direction and permitted seams.
Use the cutting allowance approved for the specific project instead of assuming one percentage fits every vehicle layout.
Approve the flooring sample, final width and length, cut plan, quantity, packing and delivery details.
Prepared by August Flooring to help purchasing, engineering and installation teams organize supplier discussions. Final product selection, construction, performance and installation must follow the vehicle project specification, approved sample and qualified installer guidance.
Send the vehicle application, model or color reference, drawing or installation requirement, quantity and destination. The August Flooring team will review suitable products, samples and quotation details.
