How do I match replacement weld cord for an older bus or coach?
Use an offcut of the replacement PVC sheet as the color reference if available. For an existing floor, share the model, a physical sample and a photo of the joint. Confirm the cord profile with the installer and approve a trial weld before ordering; a photo alone is not enough for a color match.
How much welding rod do I need for a bus floor?
Add up the length of the seams marked for heat welding on the floor layout. If several vehicles use the same layout, multiply by the vehicle count, then add the allowance agreed with the installer for trial welds and trimming. Send the total in metres with the required profile and color for a quote.
Can I use a PVC welding rod with linoleum?
Do not assume PVC and linoleum use the same welding rod. Send the actual flooring material specification and installation instructions so the required rod can be checked before purchase.
