Sample Approval Guide

How to Approve a PVC Bus Flooring Sample

A physical sample should be reviewed as a project reference—not only as a color swatch. Check the product identity, surface, backing, pattern direction, intended installation and interior coordination before approving production.

Short answer

Record the model, sample date and approval status, then review color and pattern under representative interior lighting. Compare surface texture, backing and seam details with the vehicle specification. Final production acceptance should follow the approved project reference and agreed tolerances.

Review more than color

Screen images are useful for shortlisting, but a physical reference helps the buyer, supplier and installer discuss the same surface, construction and visual target.

Common Buyer Questions

Why is a physical flooring sample important?

A physical sample provides a shared reference for color, pattern, surface, backing and construction that cannot be confirmed reliably from a screen image alone.

Should the sample be checked inside the vehicle?

Where practical, review it with representative seats, panels and interior lighting so the visual relationship can be assessed.

Can a color reference be sent for matching?

Yes. Send a physical reference, standard or clear project requirement. Availability and production conditions should be reviewed before approval.

What details should appear on the approval record?

Record the model or reference, date, revision, approved construction, comments, approver and the quotation or project specification it applies to.
